Yoga Instructor Position

Qualified applicants for this position will hold a 200 hour teacher training certification and a minimum of 1 year of teaching experience.  Our teachers serve as role models for our students and should be knowledgeable, experienced and invested in our mission to build community.

Additionally, teachers will meet the following requirements;

  • A passion for personal + professional growth
  • Desire to build community
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Plans intentional + skillful classes
  • Attends staff meetings + events
  • Consistent yoga practice both in studio and at home.
  • Teach at least 2x/week
  • Sub classes at least 1x/month
  • Knowledge of anatomy + body mechanics
  • Ability to teach beyond the asana
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Open to feedback
  • Ability to scale practice to meet students needs

Front Desk Position

The Front Desk Representative plays an integral role in developing relationships with studio members, prospective clients and overall studio + community growth.

A successful candidate will;

  • Create a warm + welcoming atmosphere for clients
  • Enjoy connecting with customers and asking questions
  • Building relationships + community
  • Have the ability to multitask in busy environment
  • Be passionate about what you are selling + why
  • Make intelligent recommendations to clients based on their unique needs
  • Be outgoing, positive and self-motivated

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience preferred
  • Passion for yoga + wellness industry
  • Retail experience preferred
  • Available several evenings (after 5 pm) M-F
  • Available early mornings (6 AM) M-F

Work Study Position

A limited number of  work-study positions are available through Shanti Yoga. We have several positions including front desk staff, cleaning team, event assistants and community engagement. Other positions may be made available upon request for those with specific skills such as marketing and communications, graphic design, etc. Positions may be filled on a full or partial membership depending on number of hours worked.

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Dependable + reliable
  • Willingness to commit 6+ months to position
