*This retreat is perfectly suited for every body and it is intended to incorporate accessible yoga, breathwork + meditative practices.
Amansala is located just 2 hours south of Cancun and is famous for it’s Mayan Ruins and is preferred by yogis all over the world for it’s relaxed, bohemian-chic feel, local highlights, beautiful beaches, hidden cenotes and lush jungle with great vibes.
Amansala has built a reputation on authentic hospitality, bohemian aesthetic and is known to be one of the leading retreat centers of the world!
- Enjoy connecting in an intentional community of like-minded yogis. Activities include daily asana practice, meditation, sound healing, mayan ritual, ceremonies + more!
- A total of 9 rooms, housing 20 yogis are available for this retreat. Accommodations range from private suites to shared rooms. All are beautifully decorated.
- Enjoy three gourmet, vegetarian meals daily with the exception of one night on the town (2/14). Meals are professionally prepared on site and served up with extra love.
Sample Schedule
*Afternoon and evening activities are up to the discretion of the group. We will have discussions prior to departure and planned according to group requests.
- 7 AM: light breakfast
- 8:30-10 AM: Yoga + Meditation
- 10:30 AM: Brunch
- Afternoon Activity
- Massage, Mayan Clay Meditation, Cenotes, etc.
- 2:30 PM: Snack
- 7:30 PM: Dinner
- 8:30: Optional evening activities (ceremony, meditation, yoga nidra)
Retreat includes room, meals and yoga activities. Bikes are available to rent around town. Additional activities including (but not limited to) massage, sound healing, mayan clay meditation, temazcal (Mayan sweat lodge), a day trip to the cenotes and more may be arranged at an additional fee. Transportation not included.
About Your Guide
Katie Kelly is a yogi, nurse and traveler at heart. She has explored the world learning yoga, medicine and meditation. Katie, the owner of Shanti Yoga has been teaching for over 10 years and hold thousands of hours of teaching experience. With an undergraduate degree in Sustainable Agriculture + Business, she brings to life her passion for wellness through yoga and plant life, both of which she finds intrinsically linked to our health. She has taught locally and internationally. Katie is looking forward to returning to the retreat center that she lived/worked on when she bought a one-way ticket to Italy in her 20’s.
Katie is also a graduate of Goldfarb School of Nursing. In addition to opening up Shanti Yoga at the age of 27, she concurrently graduated with her accelerated BSN degree and has worked in various Emergency Departments as a Level I Trauma Nurse.
Katie is excited about educating and empowering people to take charge of their health and draws in anatomical and philosophical perspectives to her practices on the mat.
She received her yoga teacher training in India at Yoga Vidya Gurukul (www.yogapoint.com). She furthered her studies at the Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Center in Dharamsala building on alignment principles. Katie also completed a Pre and Postnatal Yoga and Yoga Therapy training in 2020/2021 virtually through Yoga Vidya Gurukul, virtually. She offers a mindfulness based approach which she credits to her background in Vipassana meditation.
Her intentions for teaching are to hold space for students to explore the inner workings of the practice. She encourages students to deepen their awareness by allowing them to draw their senses inward while exploring the deeper aspects of their human potential.

How will transportation be arranged from the airport to retreat?
Transportation from the airport to Amansala can be arranged with one of their reliable drivers. The cost of transportation is each way and as follows;
- 2 people sharing: $80 each
- 3 people sharing: $70 each
- 4 people sharing: $60 each
- 5 people sharing: $50 each
- 6 people (or more) sharing: $40 each
What is included in the retreat costs?
All meals which are standard include;
- light breakfast of fresh fruit before morning practice
- full brunch
- snack
- dinner (with the exception of one night on 2/14)
What is NOT included in retreat costs?
- Alcohol
- a 13% sales tax and $15 per day gratuity will be added to total retreat cost
